I ordered this pad for a week long camping trip and was very pleased. I used it on a cot and had no problems with a shoulder issue I have. It kept its air for the full week too! I love this pad. Unknown on Aug 16th 2019
Seems like a nice product. 4 inches should be enough comfort (I'm a side-sleeper).
Couldn't tell by the ad if it was a self-inflating mattress or not. It's not.
It has a proprietary valve that is over an inch in diameter. I was able to get it inflated by using a Boston Valve attachment on a foot pump, pumping very quickly. SUGGESTION TO WENZEL: Change it to a regular Boston Valve. Most pumps have that attachment, and then I would have given this 5 stars. Bill Montgomery on Aug 30th 2018
Sleeping on a hospital Gel pad is great for avoiding bed sores and various pains but the gel pad is very heavy and difficult for a senior to move and adjust. I bought the air pad to have a pad, to place on my single bed, which is lighter in weight but hopefully strong enough to sleep on every day. So far so good. The pad is about six inches narrower than my mattress, which may be good, because I don't know how it would hold up if I sat on it every time I get into bed.
I don't know if other patients would want a product for this purpose. While it would be better if it was an inch or so wider, it does work and is much easier to use than the heavy gel pad. Unknown on Aug 20th 2018
